Tiny Hunter designs Sydney’s latest selfie hotspot

Tiny Hunter has brightened up Sydney Airport’s departures with a huge multi-coloured mural – which has quickly become one of Sydney’s hottest selfie spots.

The 16.5m long by 2.5m high mural was designed to encourage people to share their photos on social media before flying, using the hashtag #SydneyAirport.

Since its installation last year, not only has the airport increased its social media engagement, but it’s also helped thousands of people get into that holiday mood.

This was such a fun project to work on, with the artwork drawing inspiration from the proven concept that the brighter the background, the more likely people are to want to snap and share on social.

Drawn in-house by Tiny Hunter’s design team, the mural features colourful representations of some of Sydney and Australia’s most famous icons and wildlife. The Opera House, the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Kangaroos and our friendly Silver Crested Cockatoos are all represented.

The words ‘See you later Sydney’ act as a clever call to action to take a photo and share, and are the most photographed part.
