Who you know in this world is everything! Well actually, that’s not exactly true. You’d want to be pretty damn good at what you do in this world of business or you ain’t going to last long. But who you know comes a close second. What are you doing to build your network?
Hi everyone. Who you know in this world is everything. Well, actually that’s not quite true. You need to know a lot about what you do in business or you ain’t gonna last long, but your network comes a close second. Building strong networks is vital and it’s something you should be working on every single week. Not only is it important for new business but it’s also important for collaborations and partnerships for inspiration and support. And also for building life long friendships. I mean, some of my best friend’s today are those people that i’ve met in business. Building these relationships is so rewarding. So what are you doing to build your networks? Here are a couple of suggestions I have.
Firstly, join a business forum group. I’m actually part of two and there’s so much gold that comes out of that network, those networks.
Secondly, make sure you’re attending lots of inspiring events and conferences and you’re always meeting very interesting people in those spaces. Another great thing to do is to build your own keynote in your zone of genius and get yourself out there speaking.
And lastly, why not create your own event? Invite your contacts and encourage them to bring their contacts as well. And so, that’s a really quick way to build a network. But if you are going to do that, make sure you’re doing something inspiring. Nothing bland, please. One thing to remember when you are out there networking, make sure you’re not thinking about sales. It’s purely about meaningful connections. The sales will come authentically. That’s it, for me. Time for brekkie.
