When people communicate with your brand make sure you engage in the conversation and respond. And if there is criticism don’t shrink away from it, embrace it. Take a look at what KFC did when a follower posted on their Twitter account this post… “Dear KFC, No one likes your fries. Yours sincerely. The entire world.” You can turn haters into lovers.
Hi everyone, when it comes to interacting with your customers, make sure you go deep. And when people are communicating with your brand make sure you have somebody who can be responding on any channel. Sometimes there might be criticism and so a really great idea is to embrace that criticism and turn it into a positive brand experience. So I’ve seen this done really well recently with KFC. Yes, Kentucky Fried Chicken. So somebody left a post on their Twitter feed that said “Dear KFC. Nobody likes your fries. You’re sincerely, the entire world.” Now, that’s pretty harsh. Most people would shy away from that type of criticism. But what KFC did was really inspiring. They actually embraced it and they promoted it through their social feeds as well as outdoor on posters. They showed the world that they’re listening to their customers and then they responded by saying “we’re bringing out a new recipe for fries as of November.” So you can actually turn haters into lovers. So everyone needs to embrace the criticism. That’s it for me. Time for brekkie.
