Brand definition has evolved across the years and it’s time to ensure you have considered and articulated the way your brand behaves digitally, and the assets you require.
Branding Before Breakfast Ep 115 Your digital brand identity
Hi, everyone.
I’m Jodie, I’m the MD at Tiny Hunter and today I’m thinking about digital brand identity. So, historically, brand identities were, I guess, very static and quite narrow, you had two colors, two fonts, your logo and then how that was used was generally very consistent. So, over time that has expanded and brands have become fuller and richer and they flex across touch points with more variety than they used to.
But, we also need to think about the digital space and what elements do we need to consider or define when we’re looking at a brand that we have consistency in those spaces as well. As part of our toolkit, do we need an animated logo? do we need an outro developed that goes on video content?
Are there any sound that we can use consistently that will become identifiable parts of our brand? and of course, websites hugely important digital expression of your brand, I won’t go into those in detail today that can be for another day. But be on the website, really thinking about what are the assets you need, what are the guidelines that you need, what are the ways that you can really reinforce your brand in the digital spaces.
Which is only becoming more and more important. People are connecting with us more digitally than they have ever before. People are working remotely, they’re having Zoom meetings, the way that people are consuming content digitally is a huge part of the perception of your brand, bigger than ever before, and it’s only going to grow with web three, the amount of people that are living inside computer games these days, digital, motion, animation, it’s only going to grow and grow and grow.
So, it’s time to think about your brand, if it’s entirely static at the moment, and how you can express yourself in those spaces.
That’s it from me. It’s time for brekkie.
