Don’t listen to Mum

Going through a rebrand is transformative for your business. It’s a rigorous, in depth process so it’s important to understand what feedback is relevant, and what isn’t. So you can stay on track to your long terms goals.

So going through a rebrand is a big deal and often it’s because you’re looking for some transformation in your business. So like anything that’s transformative, it’s quite a process. So consider this. You’ve started the process, you’ve started with a good body of customer research. You’ve got some really great insights about who your customer is. Then you move into the brand workshop stage and following that, you get a brand strategy which is bringing those two things together.

The business and the consumer and how you’re going to connect. So once the research and strategy are done, we move into the brand identity and this is the part that clients love because it’s when you get to see everything coming to life. You get to suddenly see the vision and what it’s going to look like for your brand. It’s exciting and a lot of people start turning to people that they trust. Think about it. You might ask your partner or you might ask your mum or your sister and get their opinion.

The thing is, it doesn’t matter if your mum doesn’t like orange because if orange is the color that is aligned to your strategy and your target audience, that’s what matters. So you have to remember you’ve been through the journey, but they haven’t. So you have to be brave and you have to be confident in the process and trust the experts around you. And be excited about what the future holds.

level. That’s it for me. Time for brekkie.
