Have you ever heard the expression ‘perception is reality’? It’s something we think about a lot and it’s a pretty succinct way to communicate the power of brand. While strategy is the ultimate place to start, sometimes you just need to jump in and make sure you are looking the part.
Morning. I’m Jodie, I’m the MD at Tiny Hunter. And today I want to talk about the power of having a shit hot brand identity. The thing is, we spend a lot of time working on, talking about, proclaiming the power of brand strategy. And yes, it is really important and the best place to start, if you can. But I know there’s a lot of companies that might be thinking, I don’t have tens of thousands of dollars to spend on strategy right now, or I can clearly articulate what we stand for and who our most important customer is, and things like that. And maybe your brand is just looking like crap.
Here’s the thing, perception is reality. You can have the best product in the world, but if you look like crap, the people that haven’t experienced your product haven’t connected with you are going to think that you are not the best. If they’re looking around, and you might know your competitor’s product isn’t as good as yours, but they look like their product is better than yours, then that is what your potential customers are going to think. Investing in your brand identity and making sure that it is representing the quality of what you do is really important. Don’t let the robust strategy be a barrier to making improvements now. That will impact positively the way that you’re doing business. You need to look the part.
That’s it from me, it’s time for brekkie.
