Branding Before Breakfast Ep 130 Transcript \ Recognition: Ask to receive

Morning, everyone. I’m Jodie, I’m the MD at Tiny Hunter, and this week’s been a little bit fun because we got to go and collect our award from the Sydney Design Awards, thank you very much, for the branding work that we’ve done.

Now, the thing is at Tiny Hunter, we are very focused on the results that we get for our clients. That is how we measure ourselves. However, it is still nice to get a little bit of recognition So, I want you to think about your brand what are some of those external factors, those recognition points about what you do. So, it could be awards like I’ve just mentioned testimonials, so clients talking about what you do. reviews, really building and getting reviews of your products and making sure that you’re publishing them. Maybe you’re being asked to speak at events or being an industry mentor.

Maybe you’re being asked to be a judge at awards, which is always, high kudos to your expertise and what it is that you do. So, instead of just thinking about how you can talk to the world about what you do, I want you to think about what you can do to get some of those external data points that are recognizing the work that you do. And here is the thing. You have to be proactive. You have to ask for it.

These things generally don’t magically happen. Another great one is PR. So, if you’ve done some amazing work, it’s gotten great results and publication is writing about you. I mean, that is gold when it comes to winning new clients or customers. So, think about today what you can be doing, what you can be building into your processes, and how you can be asking for a little bit of recognition.

That’s it from me. It’s time for brekkie.
