Good morning. My name is Kiri, I’m the Business Growth Strategist here at Tiny Hunter. What’s your budget? If you’ve ever worked with an agency before, there’s every chance you’ve had that question. And today, I want to talk to you about the reasons why you should always know your budget heading into any project, and why it helps to answer that question truthfully.

I know that there is a perception out there that if I give away my budget, then my quote will always come in tier to that amount. But the truth is, being open and collaborative with your agency is always going to improve the process, it’s going to strengthen your relationship, save everybody a heap of time, and ultimately, you’re going to get a better result. Let’s look at something like brand photography. Now there are a myriad of ways that you can approach a photoshoot. And discussing budget early on is going to help steer that approach in the right direction. Whether that is choosing appropriate photographers, thinking about the talent you’re going to use, location. Instead of pursuing ideas that are out of reach, It’s going to align the agency more with your vision and what’s achievable from your end. And it doesn’t just apply to photography. The way you can approach websites and creative campaigns There are so many different ways to look at that. I encourage you, Next time you’re about to embark on a new project with your agency or any creative partner, make sure that you are open upfront, You understand what’s achievable from your end, and I guarantee you’re going to get a better end result.
