We engaged Tiny Hunter for a brand refresh – due to recent growth, we wanted a premium brand look and feel. The team were amazing to work with through the engagement process, back and forths on concepts through to the final product. Also on communicating their reasoning, they were awesome. Optimised Mining is the market leader in mining exam preparation – achieving pass rates of over 90% in a category where the industry average sits as low as 10–30%.

Founded by mining professionals who sat and passed the exams themselves, Optimised Mining has built an outstanding reputation through exceptional results and an invested, human approach to training. However, their brand didn’t reflect that. In a category that’s traditionally beige and forgettable, they looked like everyone else.

With the business expanding into new markets, growing enterprise relationships with BHP and Rio Tinto, and launching an RTO-accredited training arm, the gap between their appearance and their true quality needed to be addressed.

We identified a strategic territory ‘Pressure Tested’ which reframed the reality of stress, stakes and ambition, into something their customers could master in simple step-by-step courses. The identity pairs a distinctive brandmark with a standalone icon that can be well utilised for their training app, in a palette of coal, white and Optimised blue.

The result is a brand that finally reflects the true Optimised Mining experience: confident, credible, and genuinely committed to getting people across the line. And a brand set up and ready for their next phase of growth.
