CAMPAIGNS AND MARKETING

As a strategic communication and design partner, we assisted Sydney airport for 6 years as it underwent a major transformation. In particular, shaping the repositioning of the retail precincts.

OBJECTIVE

Sydney Airport has undergone a major transformation in recent years and has become one of the world’s busiest, most successful airports. It is the true gateway to Australia and retail sales surpass even the country’s biggest shopping centres. The airport needed a communications partner that could assist with this growth across a whole range of activities.

SOLUTION

Our work with the airport was as diverse as the guests that visit it each year. Projects included:

  • Assisting to reposition T1 as a luxury destination and attract brands such as Rolex and Tiffany’s
  • The creation of the airport’s first ever out of home advertising campaign, promoting its luxury Tax Free shopping offering
  • Airport explainer videos to assist travellers in understanding airport procedures
  • Community campaigns to raise awareness of the airport’s CSR strategy

RESULTS

Initially working with the Retail team on campaigns our work then spread to strategic positioning with the Leasing team, Media & Advertising team, Duty-Free team and Foreign Exchange team. We also worked with the Corporate team on design and positioning projects.
